Willingham Hearing Convenes Today

This afternoon, at 1:30 p.m. CST, a Texas judge will convene a hearing in the case of Cameron Todd Willingham, who was executed in 2004 for allegedly setting a fire that killed his three daughters, will resume. Judge Charlie Baird is holding the hearing to determine whether to convene a court of inquiry in the case.

Last week, the district attorney of Navarro County, where Willingham was convicted, filed a motion seeking to recuse the judge from the case. Today, Judge Charlie Baird will decide whether to recuse himself from the investigation.
