Tony Goldwyn’s Work Influenced by the Innocence Project


Earlier this week at the Innocence Project’s eighth annual benefit, “A Celebration of Freedom and Justice,” NBC’s


caught up with


Star and Innocence Project Artists’ Committee Co-Chair Tony Goldwyn.


Goldwyn, who was honored at the organization’s 2013 benefit, spoke about how the Innocence Project has influenced his work. In 2010 he brought the case of Innocence Project client Kenny Waters to the silver screen in the film


which he directed. In coming months, he will be serving as executive producer and director of WEtv’s first scripted drama,

The Divide

, about a powerful district attorney whose career is jeopardized by an investigation conducted by a fictional innocence clinic. The show will premiere in July.
