Take Action: Stand Up for the National Criminal Justice Commission

Last Wednesday, thousands of calls from across the United States poured into the offices of Senate leaders, from people concerned about problems with our criminal justice system. The callers were urging Senators to support the National Criminal Justice Commission Act, which would create a blue-ribbon panel of experts to conduct a comprehensive review of the criminal justice system.

Today, Innocence Project supporters are sending letters to keep the pressure on Congress to act on this important legislation.

Please take 30 seconds right now to send a letter to your representatives in the U.S. Senate and House

, telling them you support the creation of a bipartisan criminal justice commission. This commission has the potential to examine the causes of wrongful convictions and recommend reforms to prevent innocent people from going to prison. The commission’s work would help prevent injustice and protect public safety by catching the true perpetrators of crimes.
