Ken Hammond: Implementing Eyewitness Identification Reform in Wisconsin

Ken Hammond is the director of the Wisconsin Department of Justice’s Training and Standards Bureau, which governs the certification of the state’s 17,000 officers and 615 law enforcement employers. In this 20-minute presentation, he shares his experiences on implementing eyewitness identification reform in Wisconsin.


Jennifer Dysart on Eyewitness Identification

Dr. Jennifer Dysart, Professor of Psychology at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, is a frequent lecturer to police and legal audiences on the subject of eyewitness identification. In this 30-minute video, Dr. Dysart describes what social scientists have learned about the fallibility of memory, specifically in the eyewitness context, and the best practices – grounded in more than 30 years of scientific research – that have been shown to enhance the accuracy and reliability of eyewitness evidence.
