“After Innocence” Documentary Inspired Innocence Project Donor

Investment Advisor Harold Kalishman shares his inspiration for becoming an Innocence Project donor:

I first began contributing to the Innocence Project after seeing “After Innocence,” a documentary about the organization’s work, on Netflix. I was struck by the enormity of the injustice against innocent men and women and how helpless they were when the full weight of the state was brought to bear against them. I have increased my contributions over the years because of the successes that Innocence Project has had in freeing the innocent and reforming the criminal justice system. Also, a visit to Innocence Project’s offices a couple of years ago showed me first hand people who were living their lives according to their principles.

To someone who is considering supporting the Innocence Project and its work, I would remind him/her of the words of [Former President] Bill Clinton many years ago: “There is nothing wrong with America that cannot be cured with what is right in America.” The Innocence Project is very effective in righting the many wrongs of our criminal justice system.
