In a 4-3 decision, the California Supreme Court has ruled that

William Richards has failed to prove his innocence

, despite expert testimony that bite mark evidence originally used to tie him to the murder of his wife is no longer considered forensically valid.

Georgia Innocence Project

featured in Patricia Cornwell’s new book, Red Mist

, now out in paperback.  One of the characters in the book is a volunteer lawyer with the GIP.

Center on Wrongful Convictions

at Northwestern University launched the first project dedicated to studying and correcting the

wrongful convictions of women

Brian Banks, a

California Innocence Project

client who was cleared of a rape conviction earlier this year, is

working to resume the football career that was interrupted by his wrongful conviction
