  1. larry parish says:

I hope we can see it. We have a son who is incarcerated here in Wisconsin for a crime he did not commit. He never should have been charged at all. The investigation was NONE. The crime that was told to have happened that past Saturday at 10 am. He was at work in another town 38 miles away working for Social Security. Hired a lawyer from Milwaukee who is 69 miles away. He failed doing his job miserably.

Prior to being sentenced his mother received an unsigned letter from a jury member stating she and at least one other did not believe in our sons guilt but were harassed and bullied into voting guilty and that she was so sorry. She said she didn’t want us to have to go through more pain. None of this mattered, nor the fact that the DA quoted passages from the bible to the jury. The appeals court said he may have been close but they did not believe the DA crossed the line. The lawyer who did the appeal forgot to inform us that we only had 30 days to file with the Supreme Court. Our loss again.

The question should be asked. How can you ruin a persons life by sending him to prison if there is doubt about his innocence? The judge says ” if you have reasonable doubt you must vote innocent”. That clearly didn’t happen. You have to take a test to get a drivers license, yet you can be on a jury with a persons life at stake, yet need no more than a few remarks from the judge as a guideline.
