11.12.12

On Tuesday afternoon the full episode of the

Katie Couric

show will be devoted to Michael Morton and his wrongful conviction case. Morton sat down with Couric and discussed in detail his fight for innocence and the relationship he now has with his son, Eric. After spending nearly 25 years in prison for the murder of his wife, Michael Morton was released on October 4, 2011, and officially exonerated in December. DNA evidence implicated another man, who has also been tied to a similar Texas murder that occurred two years after the murder of Morton’s wife. Innocence Project Senior Staff Attorney Nina Morrison and Houston attorney John Raley of Raley & Bowick also appear on the program.
