Prior to joining the Innocence Project, Zehava was the lead attorney for the Energy and Policy Institute’s FOIA Advocacy Project, where she worked with investigative journalists and researchers to fight for transparency and accountability under the federal Freedom of Information Act and state public records laws. Zehava also previously served as Public Records Counsel at Essential Information, Inc., and as an Assistant District Attorney with the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office in the Conviction Integrity Unit, where she investigated potential wrongful convictions, and the Civil Litigation Unit. After graduating from Stanford Law School in 2017, Zehava clerked for Justice Frank Gaziano of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court.
