Case Analyst Intake
Michael Chen joined the Innocence Project as a case analyst in December 2025. Prior to starting at the Innocence Project, he conducted research for the Detention Landscapes Database, supported vulnerable immigrants at the Legal Aid Society’s Immigration Law Unit, and served as a student assistant at Yale Law School’s Arthur Liman Center for Public Interest Law. He is interested in the intersection of the criminal legal and immigration systems. Michael graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in ethnicity, race, and migration and political science and earned master’s degrees in migration studies and criminology and criminal justice from the University of Oxford as a Marshall Scholar.
