Send Condolence Messages to Family of Ledell Lee Executed in Arkansas
04.21.17 By Innocence Staff
Our hearts are heavy with news that Arkansas refused to stop the execution of our client, along with the ACLU, Ledell Lee and grant him DNA testing. Mr. Lee, 51, who maintained his innocence until the end, asked for communion as his last meal.
We are devastated for the loss of Mr. Lee and infuriated by this act of injustice. We ask that you join us in sending his family condolence messages via the form below. Thank you for the outpouring of support this week for both Mr. Lee and Stacey Johnson.
A fund to help the Lee family with funeral expenses has been setup by supporters in Arkansas here (Please specify that your donation is for Ledell Lee).

I have gotten to know and love the entire family of Skips. I had the chance to go to see Skip many years ago and it was an honor and pleasure to see him. I can truly say that Skip is a wonderful young man that I hoped to one day see him free. He’s now free in a way that we all will be one day. It was not the kind of freedom that we hoped for but nevertheless, he’s noe free and with OUR father that will take great care of him now.
My love for Skip’s entire family runs deep and it spans out to almost 25 years so I feel like I lost a brother. Although I am considered as part of the family, I want to extend my love a support to the entire family in such a sad time in all our lives . I love Skip and I definitely loved his wonderful family.
I pray that God give the entire family the strength on this day and the days to come. I pray for your understanding, and I pray that God give you the guidance to walk in his pathways while OUR father holds onto your hands. I love each and everyone of you and I will continue to pray with you, and for you. RIH, RIL, SKIP because I know you are now Resting in Peace! Until we meet again, you are going to forever be on my mind!
