The Story Behind “Conviction”

Betty Anne Waters, the real-life hero behind the film “Conviction” says in a new Innocence Project video that she isn’t done fighting injustice.

“I think I’m lucky that I get to be the person that might be able to help someone else,” Waters says in the new video, which chronicles the story behind her two-decade fight to help overturn her brother’s wrongful conviction.
