Bloodsworth, the first person to be proven innocent through DNA testing who had served time on death row, speaks of his fight to repeal the death penalty in his home state of Maryland. Scheck weighs in on the type of systemic errors that might cause an innocent person to be sentenced to death.

 

Maryland voted to repeal the death penalty on March 15, making it the sixth state in six years to do so. Delaware is currently considering passing a similar bill.
