Innocence Network Urges Supreme Court to Consider Death Row Case

In a brief filed yesterday in the U.S. Supreme Court, the Innocence Network argued that an Ohio death row prisoner scheduled to die in September was denied a fair trial because evidence of his innocence was never presented. Kevin Keith was sentenced to death in Ohio for allegedly shooting and killing three people in a Bucyrus, Ohio, apartment in 1994. He claims that he didn’t commit the crime, and his attorneys say they have uncovered significant evidence of innocence since trial. The evidence includes an alternate suspect and unreliable testimony about eyewitness identification.
