How to Start Your Own Innocence Project Facebook Fundraiser
09.23.19 By Innocence Staff
The Innocence Project has helped exonerated 189 people to date — and we couldn’t have done it without you. We can’t tell you how much your generous support has meant to the team and our clients who are still waiting for justice.
And we’re counting on you to help deliver freedom to even more wrongfully convicted people across the U.S.
Would you consider starting a Facebook fundraiser to invite your friends to join you in the fight for meaningful criminal justice reform?
It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3:
- Head to our Facebook fundraising page, and set a goal and a deadline for your fundraiser. Most people start with a goal of $200.
- Tell your friends why you’re raising money for the Innocence Project. Maybe you think it’s wrong that exonerated people frequently aren’t compensated for the time they lost while wrongfully incarcerated. Or maybe you or someone you love has been directly affected by the flawed criminal justice system. Whatever your reason, a personal note will make your fundraiser shine.
- Pick a cover photo and then share your fundraiser with your friends. The more people you invite to contribute, the more you’re likely to raise.
Your support is what keeps the Innocence Project team fighting for justice. Thank you for standing with us.
