The Innocence Project has helped exonerated 189 people to date — and we couldn’t have done it without you. We can’t tell you how much your generous support has meant to the team and our clients who are still waiting for justice.

And we’re counting on you to help deliver freedom to even more wrongfully convicted people across the U.S.

Would you consider starting a Facebook fundraiser to invite your friends to join you in the fight for meaningful criminal justice reform?

It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3:

  1. Head to our Facebook fundraising page, and set a goal and a deadline for your fundraiser. Most people start with a goal of $200.
  2. Tell your friends why you’re raising money for the Innocence Project. Maybe you think it’s wrong that exonerated people frequently aren’t compensated for the time they lost while wrongfully incarcerated. Or maybe you or someone you love has been directly affected by the flawed criminal justice system. Whatever your reason, a personal note will make your fundraiser shine.
  3. Pick a cover photo and then share your fundraiser with your friends. The more people you invite to contribute, the more you’re likely to raise.

Start my fundraiser!

Your support is what keeps the Innocence Project team fighting for justice. Thank you for standing with us.

I will start a fundraiser. I was illegally and unjustly arrested by UNM Campus Pokice (University of New Mexico). Albuquerque Police Department (APD) are liable, as are the FBI. Bernalillo County Sheriffs Department is also liable for things that have happened to me. APD kidnapped me, TWICE.

Luckily, I have Senaror Joseph Cervantes, to help me. I do not know, what, I would do, without him!

There is SO much corruption in New Mexico! The current and former Governor, Senators, it is so sad. Joseph fights corruption and stands up for whistle blowers. The Attorney General does not investigate. I have reported Medicaid Fraud to the news, FBI, State Licensing Board, Attorney General, and it has not been investigated. I have reported the State Medical Examiner for drinking and doing autopsies, she has not beenn investigted, and the paper, told me, they cannot publish a story, because, they “do not have the power to publish stories.”

Kind Regards,
April S. Perkins
