Innocence Project Honored by New York Law Journal

The

New York Law Journal

will honor the Innocence Project with a 2013 Impact Award for two decades of calling attention to wrongful convictions and collaborating with both the defense and prosecution to improve the use of DNA testing in criminal cases.

 

To coincide with the

Law Journal

’s 125th anniversary, it created the Impact Awards to honor individuals, groups or projects that have had significant impact on the legal community in New York. Other honorees include the Bronx Defenders, The Skadden Fellowship Foundation and Michael Cardozo for the Corporation Counsel of the City of New York.

 

The honorees will be featured in a Special Report on October30 and honored at the

Law Journal

‘s 125th anniversary dinner on November 4.
