A Washington, D.C. Superior Court judge will team-up with law enforcement, prosecutors and defense attorneys to determine whether or not

to create an innocence commission to combat wrongful convictions

.

Students at the Innocence Project at University of Virginia School of Law are

waiting on a court ruling

that could help clear the name of a client on death row.

Despite advances in technology,

bad science continues to convict the innocent

.

Illinois passed a bill

expanding the definition of a wrongfully imprisoned person

to include a person released from state prison who has received either a pardon from the governor or a certificate from the Circuit Court proclaiming innocence. 

Attorneys for the West Memphis Three

will seek DNA testing

on additional evidence from the crime scene where three 8-year-olds bodies were found.
