VIDEO: Exoneree Speaks About His Wrongful Conviction and Death Sentence

Exoneree Kwame Ajamu, who was wrongfully convicted and sentenced to death in 1975, is featured in a short documentary film in support of a petition by the National Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty and Lush Cosmetics to halt all executions and do away with capital punishment on a national level.

Ajamu was convicted along with his brother Wiley Bridgeman and Ricky Jackson based solely on the testimony of a 13-year-old boy who decades later confessed to his pastor that he lied. Ajamu was exonerated with the help of the Ohio Innocence Project.
