Exoneree Musician Bill Dillon Performs in Austin, Texas

04.15.11

Bill Dillon, who was chosen by the CTK Foundation to compose music for their “Heart and Soul Grant Program,” performed last night in Austin, Texas, at the Foundation’s Gala. Dillon was wrongfully imprisoned for 27 years in Florida before DNA testing proved his innocence in 2008 with the help of the Innocence Project of Florida. The song that he composed and performed is the product of a contest in which nonprofits submit poetry about their work. This year’s winning nonprofit, Adoption Resources of Wisconsin, received $10,000, and the poem set to music. Last year’s musical performance was by Los Lonely Boys.
