Conviction,” an inspiring new film based on the true story of a woman’s two-decade fight to overturn her brother’s wrongful conviction, opens tonight in select theaters and will reach screens nationwide in the weeks ahead.

The film tells the story of Betty Anne Waters’ crusade to free her brother. The Innocence Project’s work to overturn wrongful convictions through DNA testing is an important part of the story.
