Dascha Yolaine Polanco is a Dominican-American actress known for her roles as Dayanara “Daya” Diaz on the Netflix series Orange Is the New Black and Cuca in the film In the Heights. While working on Orange Is the New Black, Ms. Polanco educated herself about the criminal legal system and has collaborated with the Innocence Project and other organizations that support women who are currently or formerly incarcerated as well as their families.
