Exoneree Compensation in Idaho

State statute provides exonerees with $62,000 for each year of wrongful imprisonment, including time spent awaiting trial, or $75,000 for each year they were imprisoned on death row; and no less than $25,000 for each year they were on parole or were required to register as a sex offender as a result of the wrongful conviction, whichever period of time was greater. Effective: March 2021.
