Help Fix Oregon’s DNA Testing Law to Remove Barriers to Justice for the Innocent!

Gerard Richardson spent 19 years in prison for a murder he didn’t commit in New Jersey. He was proven innocent when DNA testing excluded him and generated an unknown profile. However, because the DNA testing was done at a private lab, red tape prevented the unknown profile from being entered into law enforcement’s DNA database to possibly reveal the person that actually committed the crime.

Oregon’s DNA testing law should be fixed to prevent what happened in Gerard’s case by improving access to DNA databases for the wrongfully convicted.

Sign the petition to support passing SB 321 to improve justice for wrongfully convicted Oregonians!
